Red Raiders Secure 32-Point Victory in Season Finale

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern secured a commanding 97-65 win over Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday at the Bultman Center. The Red Raiders shot an impressive 58.1% from the field and dished out 26 assists, building their lead to 37 points in the second half.

The first half started strong for Northwestern, with Jalen Langsy sinking a three just 27 seconds into the game. The Red Raiders kept the heat on with sharp shooting from beyond the arc, knocking down 12 triples. Brennan Reid was on fire, hitting multiple treys and setting up his teammates, while Jesse Van Kalsbeek backed him up with points in the paint and from the line.

On defense, the Raiders were relentless, grabbing 23 rebounds and forcing the Tigers into six turnovers. Langsy was instrumental on defense too, snagging steals that turned into scoring chances. By halftime, Northwestern held a comfortable 58-30 lead, setting the tone for the remainder of the game.

In the second half, the Raiders continued to roll, stretching their lead to 37 points with 5:45 left on the clock. Langsy and Reid kept the offense humming, with a layup that kept the momentum alive. The defense held strong as Kaleb Booth and Carter Van Hulzen each tallied a steal and a block, putting a stop to the Tigers' scoring attempts.

Isaac Cordes drilled two deep shots from downtown, padding the Red Raiders' lead midway through the half. Marcus Kelderman's layup further widened the gap, showing Northwestern's continuous offensive drive. The Raiders remained in control through the final buzzer, picking up a 32-point win in the regular season finale.
