PELLA, Iowa — The Northwestern College wrestling squad opened its second-semester competition schedule on Saturday at the Central Under Armour Invitational, competing in a deep field split across Gold and Silver divisions.
In the Gold Division, Johnny Burnette led the Raiders with a 6th-place finish at 149 lbs, posting a 3–2 record. Ethan Skoglund (133), Noah Parmelee (141), and Cade Braun (157) each went 2–2 while facing strong competition, narrowly missing the podium.
Northwestern found additional success in the Silver Division, where Wyatt Bice earned a 3rd-place finish at 165 lbs, and Aiden Smith would rattle off 4 straight wins after dropping his opening match to finish in 5th place. Thomas Vance (184), Wesley Vick (285), and Logan Ash (285) also recorded place finishes to round out the day.
