Raiders Land Eight All-GPAC Selections, Wroblewski Named to First Team

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Luke Wroblewski headlined Northwestern's honorees on the GPAC all-conference teams, joined by three second team selections and four honorable mentions.

Luke Wroblewski – First Team (Outfield)
Wroblewski was one of the top hitters in both the GPAC and the NAIA this season. He closed the year second in the conference in batting average (.436), Northwestern's highest since 2010 (min. 100 AB). Wroblewski displayed all five tools this season, patrolling center field with a .981 fielding percentage, stealing 21 bags, and leading the team with a .590 slugging percentage and 1.106 OPS. It is Wroblewski's second all-conference nod in two seasons with the Raiders.

Grant Rychnovsky – Second Team (First Base)
A standout freshman from Adel, Iowa, Rychnovsky made an immediate impact in the lineup. Rychnovsky was second on the team and 19th in the league in batting average (.344), scoring 39 runs and driving in 22. In his first year, he provided a steady bat wherever needed, spending time in the infield, outfield, and on the mound. As a pitcher, Rychnovsky punched out 27 batters in nine appearances.

Drew Dykstra – Second Team (Starting Pitcher)
Dykstra closed his career tied for the program record in career strikeouts (275), throwing 78 in his senior season. He was an ace on the Raiders' staff, closing the year at third in the GPAC in strikeouts and fourth in ERA (3.21). On March 4, Dykstra became the first Raider to throw a no-hitter since 2014 and earlier this season became the seventh player in program history to pass 200 career Ks. Dykstra receives his second career All-GPAC Second Team pitching honor.

Brody Ayers – Second Team (Relief Pitcher)
Ayers provided a two-way punch for the Raiders, starting at shortstop and serving as their closer this season. He led the GPAC in saves (9), which was two away from tying the program's single-season record. The sophomore compiled a 4.50 ERA in 12 appearances, striking out 19 batters in only 14 innings. It is the first career All-GPAC accolade for Ayers.

Peyton Montecinos – Honorable Mention (Relief Pitcher)
Montecinos receives honorable mention recognition for the second year in a row after leading the Raider bullpen with 38 strikeouts. The sophomore from Patterson, California appeared in 17 games, going 2-1 with a 4.69 ERA, finishing second on the team in WHIP (1.31).

Devin Dirkx – Honorable Mention (Third Base)
Dirkx provided a power bat in the middle of the order, driving in 45 runs and hitting a team-leading nine home runs. His RBI total was 11th in the GPAC, and he was 10th in home runs. He was the only player on the team to start all 48 games, manning the hot corner and notching 11 starts on the mound. It is the second career honorable mention nod for Dirkx.

Grant Guidry – Honorable Mention (Designated Hitter)
Another powerful freshman bat for Northwestern, Guidry hit .331 and drove in 36 runs. He hit four out of the park and led the team in doubles (10). Guidry also had an OPS of .860, which was third among Raiders with at least two plate appearances per game.

Colton Korver – Honorable Mention (Relief Pitcher)
Korver closed his career with his best season on the mound, coming out of the pen 11 times and compiling a 0.73 ERA. He earned his first career winning decision this season, tossing a career-high 12.1 innings and striking out 10 batters. Earning his first all-conference accolade, Korver allowed just 10 hits and one earned run on the year.

Concordia's Jaidan Quinn and Alex Johnson were named Player and Pitcher of the Year, respectively. Doane's Riley Plummer was honored as the Freshman of the Year, and Concordia's Ryan Dupic was selected as the GPAC Coach of the Year.
