Vander Waal Leads with Top-10 Finish at NAIA Championships

MARION, Ind. – The Raiders' women's track and field team three individuals to compete at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.

Emma Blum was first up on Thursday, running a time of 58.08 in the 400m prelims and finishing 16^th.

Jacie Vander Waal and Aubrey DeGroot took to the skies in Friday's high jump. DeGroot cleared her opening height of 1.61m on her first attempt but could not advance on the 1.66m jump. Vander Waal made it through her opening height in two attempts before clearing 1.66m in one try. Seven athletes advanced through the third height, putting Vander Waal one spot away from an All-American placement.
