Flores Leads Raiders on Tennis All-Conference Teams

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Mateo Flores earned All-Conference honors to lead the Raiders' three All-GPAC selections. Jose Calderon was named an honorable mention and the doubles team of Calderon and David Bomgaars also received honorable mention accolades.

Mateo Flores – All-Conference (No. 3 Singles)
A senior from Quito, Ecuador, Flores went 10-7 on the year with a 5-1 record in conference play. Six of his wins came at the No. 3 spot, while he also picked up four wins at No. 4. He closed his career on a five-match winning streak and won seven of his last 10 outings. Flores earns his first career All-GPAC honor.

Jose Calderon – Honorable Mention (Singles)
A freshman from Santiago, Chile, Calderon split time between No. 1 and No. 2 singles. He went 6-12 overall in his first collegiate season, going 3-3 in conference play. Calderon earns his first career All-GPAC honor.

Jose Calderon/David Bomgaars – Honorable Mention (Doubles)
Northwestern's No. 1 doubles squad of Calderon and Bomgaars led the team with five wins, going 5-5 with a 3-2 mark in GPAC action. This is the first All-GPAC doubles honor for Calderon and the fourth for Bomgaars.

Roger Suklian of Mount Marty and Joren Stevens of Midland were named GPAC Co-Players of the Year. Coach of the Year honors went to Morningside's Alex Struck.
