Northwestern Raises Over $115,000 on Raiders Giving Day

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College presented its annual Raiders Giving Day on Thursday, April 10, raising over $115,000 for its athletic programs.

"Our entire athletic staff is grateful for all the donors who contributed to our mission of Honoring Christ Through Excellence in Athletics," said Vice President for Athletics Tony Hoops. "It was incredible to see many new and loyal Raider supporters connect with current Raiders by giving back and investing into our stand-out athletes and programs."

Student-athletes and coaches connected with alumni and supporters throughout the day, with ten programs reaching their targeted goals. The total of over $115,000 raised exceeded last year's giving by $35,000. 488 unique donors made donations to Northwestern's athletic teams this year, nearly 200 more donors than last year.

Gifts will be used at the discretion of each athletic program, with many teams applying proceeds to equipment, team culture and mission experiences, team travel, and uniforms.

The next Northwestern athletics fundraising event will be the Red Raider Golf Classic, held at Landsmeer Golf Club on June 6. Registration for the event is open.
