American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's golf student-athlete Evan Smith and women's track and field student-athlete Tierney Huss as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of April 21st.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Evan Smith, Men's Golf

Smith (Fr., Knoxville, Iowa) helped Northwestern to a first place finish at the Red Raider Open with a first place finish.
The freshman beat out fellow teammates for the first place tie with a birdie on the playoff hole for his first career win.
Smith's 67 stroke second round matched his career low and helped earn the Raiders' fourth lowest round in program history with a 277.

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tierney Huss, Women's Track & Field

Huss (Fr., Orange City, Iowa) delivered a top-notch performance with two individual champion finishes and a second place 4x100m relay.
The freshman took first in the 100m in 12.13 seconds after setting a PR in the prelims with 12.02.
It was another PR in long jump as Huss championed for the first time in her outdoor career, jumping 5.33 meters.
