Dykstra Earns GPAC Pitcher of the Week Honor

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern baseball pitcher Drew Dykstra has been selected as the GPAC Pitcher of the Week, presented by Hauff/Mid-America Sports.

"Drew has been so consistent this year," noted head coach Brian Wede. "He has been really stingy allowing runners and hard to score on. Drew's been able to mix three pitches for strikes and carries a strong presence on the mound."

In his lone pitching performance last weekend, Dykstra threw a complete-game shutout to take down Hastings 6-0. On the day, he only allowed two hits and collected six strikeouts to move to 6-0 on the season.

Dykstra currently leads the GPAC in ERA (1.29), strikeouts (57), and wins (6).

Dykstra is a two-time GPAC Pitcher of the Week this season and has received three career weekly awards.
