American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named baseball student-athlete Luke Wroblewski and women's track and field student-athlete Jacie Vander Waal as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of March 31st.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Luke Wroblewski, Baseball
  • Wroblewski (Sr., Sussex, Wis.) batted an average of .556 over four games with 10 hits, seven RBIs, eight runs, and three stolen bases.
  • The senior went 5-for-6 with an RBI and a stolen base in Friday's loss to Hastings.
  • Wroblewski now sits third in the NAIA in batting average (.500) and second in the GPAC in stolen bases (19).
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jacie Vander Waal, Women's Track and Field
  • Vander Waal (Sr., Sioux Center, Iowa.) won the high jump at Wayne State with a height of 1.72m
  • The senior's jump is the third-best in the NAIA and automatically qualifies her for nationals.
  • Vander Waal's PR jump comes in the first competition of the outdoor season with six more till nationals.
