Rocket League Places First, Overwatch Second at GPAC Esports Tournament

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – In the second weekend of the inaugural GPAC esports tournament, the Raiders sent their Rocket League and Overwatch teams to compete today.

Both teams advanced to the grand finals, with Rocket League claiming the trophy in a 6-1 weekend. After falling to Midland 3-2 in pool play, Rocket League got revenge in the finals with a 4-0 sweep of the Warriors.

Overwatch placed second, falling in the grand finals to Briar Cliff. The Raiders advanced to the semifinals and swept Waldorf 3-0, but a challenging Charger team came out on top 4-0 in the finals.

In all, Northwestern took first in Smash Bros and Rocket League, while finishing second in Overwatch in the last two weeks.
