Jesse Van Kalsbeek and women's basketball student-athlete
Hali Anderson as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of February 24th.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Men's Basketball
- Van Kalsbeek (Fr., Orange City, Iowa) dominated the week averaging 31.4 points on 66% shooting, 8.5 rebounds, and 4 steals over the last two games with just one turnover.
- The freshman set multiple career highs in Saturday's comeback win against Waldorf including, but not limited to, points (34), shots made (15), assists (7), and tied his high in steals (4).
- Van Kalsbeek also led the way in a win over Briar Cliff shooting 75% for 29 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Hali Anderson, Women's Basketball
- Anderson (Sr., St. Ansgar, Iowa) rounded out the regular season shooting a clean 50% from the floor with 39 points over two games last week
- Saturday's game against Waldorf was a double-double performance, tying her career high in scoring for the second time this season with 28 points while adding 11 boards and 5 assists
- Anderson would be just shy of another double-double against Briar Cliff, finishing with 11 points and 8 rebounds in Wednesday's loss
