Raiders Compile Successful Weekend in Brookings

BROOKINGS, S.D. – Northwestern competed inside the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex for the second time this season, this time in the annual SDSU D2/NAIA Open.

Tierney Huss once again broke the school record in the 60m dash, running a 7.77 mark in the prelims, breaking the record for the third time this season. Her new mark is two hundredths of a second ahead of last week's time of 7.79.

In the two-day event, which consisted of competition from the NCAA's Division II and the NAIA, the Raiders turned in six top-10 finishes, led by a fifth-place long jump from Tierney Huss. Huss also placed sixth in the 60m, while Emma Haley, Aleigh Zettle, Emily DeGroot, and Maiya Speer also placed in the top-10 of individual events.

On the weekend, Northwestern's men's and women's teams combined for 26 PRs.
