Raiders Shine in Big Win on the Road

Crete, NE - Northwestern traveled on the road this weekend across state lines to take on Doane and earned another high scoring win on the season defeating the Tigers 101-87.

The first half saw the Red Raiders establish a strong lead, starting with Alex Van Kalsbeek's two free throws at 19:50. Jalen Langsy contributed significantly with multiple 3-pointers that helped the Raiders extend their advantage. The team maintained a solid performance with a balanced attack, highlighted by contributions from Kaleb Booth and Jesse Van Kalsbeek, resulting in a 54-42 lead by the end of the half.

In the second half, the Raiders extended their lead with strong performances from several players. Jalen Langsy hit two 3-pointers, contributing to the Raiders' early momentum. Kaleb Booth also excelled, scoring a 3-pointer with 14:00 left, and assisting on Jalen Langsy's second 3-pointer. Alex Van Kalsbeek was effective in the paint, scoring multiple times. The Raiders capitalized on their opportunities, making 14 of 19 baskets and 14 of 15 free throws in the half, ultimately outscoring the Tigers 47-45.

Jalen Langsy led the Raiders with 27 points, shooting an efficient 9-of-10 from the field, including 7-of-7 from beyond the arc. He also contributed defensively with three steals. Kaleb Booth added 14 points, hitting 4-of-6 from three-point range, and distributed seven assists. Alex Van Kalsbeek scored 25 points, making 9-of-11 shots and converting 7-of-8 free throws. Jesse Van Kalsbeek contributed with 19 points and a team-high eight rebounds, while also assisting his teammates six times.
