Aggressive Offense Catapults Northwestern to Home Win

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern rolled to a commanding victory over Waldorf with a final score of 96-82 on Wednesday night at the Bultman Center. The Red Raiders were on fire, shooting a sizzling 60.7% from the field and turning 12 steals into points.

Right from the tip-off, Northwestern came out swinging, establishing a dominant presence with sharp scoring in the paint. Kaleb Booth and Jesse Van Kalsbeek set the pace early, piling on crucial points. The Raiders kept the pressure on with a well-rounded offensive strategy, mixing inside plays with long-range shots.

Capitalizing on Waldorf's errors, the home Raiders turned turnovers into fast-break opportunities, widening the gap. Jalen Langsy chipped in with clutch jumpers, while a sturdy defense kept the Warriors at bay. Before the half, Van Kalsbeek rose for an alley-oop slam from Langsy to hold a commanding 47-31 lead, setting the stage for the rest of the game.

The second half saw Northwestern extend their lead with a flurry of decisive plays. Manny Hammonds made a key defensive stop, leading to free throws by Booth. Langsy kept the momentum going with a fast-break layup, courtesy of an assist from Brennan Reid. Waldorf's turnovers continued to haunt them, as Carter Van Hulzen snagged a steal and finished with a dunk, pushing the score to 61-40.

As the clock ticked down, the Raiders kept piling it on. Van Kalsbeek and Langsy made their mark with layups and three-pointers, while the defense stayed tight, limiting Waldorf's chances. Northwestern wrapped up the night with a solid 96-82 victory.
