Raiders to Open Softball Season Ranked No. 17

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released its Preseason Top 25 rankings, with Northwestern coming in at No. 17.

Northwestern completed its third consecutive 45-win season last year, going 48-13 and hosting an NAIA Opening Round tournament pod. The Raiders closed the season ranked No. 17 and were ranked as high as No. 4 in the early part of the season.

The Raiders have been ranked in the top 25 in 18 consecutive polls dating back to March 8, 2023.

Defending national champion Southern Oregon opens the year at No. 1, followed by Oklahoma City, Eastern Oregon, Georgia Gwinnett, and Marian (Ind.) in the top five.
