ORANGE CITY, Iowa — Northwestern College fell to Hastings College 3-0 on Saturday evening at the NWC Soccer Complex.
The first half began with Hastings College taking an early offensive stance against Northwestern College. Sabrina DeHart scored Hastings' first goal of the season in the 9th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead. The Raiders'
Bailey Bynum was put to the test, making several key saves to keep the Raiders in the fight as they closed out the first-half trailing 1-0
Hastings extended their lead in the second half with a goal from Jasmin Bislev Nielse in the 58th minute, assisted by Rhodes. Payton Tanner increased the advantage to 3-0 with a goal in the 72nd minute, assisted by Megan Lampe. The Raiders managed several attempts on goal, including a shot by
Olivia Regnerus in the 60th minute saved by Tatiana Villasenor, but could not convert any opportunities. Despite the Raiders setting up multiple scoring opportunities in the second-half, they were unable to find the back of net and the Broncos would walk away with the 3-0 win.
Up Next: The Raiders head to Fremont, Nebraska, where they will face Midland on Saturday, Oct. 25. The match is set for 7 p.m. as the Raiders look to get back into win column.
