Northwestern Absorbs Road Loss

SEWARD, Neb. – A tough road matchup was on deck for Saturday as Northwestern headed south to face the Concordia Bulldogs.

Northwestern started strong with Alex Van Kalsbeek scoring early to contribute to a three-point lead, 18:30 into the first half. Zach LaFave and Conner Geddes each hit from beyond the arc, helping the Red Raiders to lead at various points in the half. Despite a late surge with Jalen Langsy and Kaleb Booth hitting threes, the Bulldogs responded and ended the half leading 39-33.

In the second half, Northwestern's Alex Van Kalsbeek and Jesse Van Kalsbeek contributed significantly, with Alex scoring a series of layups and free throws, while Jesse made key defensive plays, including a steal and multiple defensive rebounds. Jalen Langsy hit a three-pointer at the 1:30 mark to help narrow the gap, and Zach LaFave's layup with an assist from Kaleb Booth at the end of the half brought the score to 69-79. Despite these efforts, Concordia maintained a consistent lead, capitalizing on free throws and layups throughout the half to take down the No. 3-ranked Raiders.
