Mitchell, SD - After an undefeated start to the GPAC season, Northwestern faced dominating competition in the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan falling 6-2 after allowing four first half goals. 

The Tigers struck fast on their home field scoring in under four minutes to take the 1-0 lead. Three others for Dakota Wesleyan would fire into the net in the 12th, 20th, and 40th minutes to lead 4-0 headed into the break. The Raiders struggled to break through the defense in the first half as they only got off seven shots, three of which were on the goal.

The second period came with much of the same as Dakota Wesleyan jumped out to 6-0 after two goals from Deandrea Johnson. Northwestern would get on the board in the second half thanks to American State Bank Raider Athlete of the Week Avril Baccam. She would connect on a penalty kick goal and a go ahead shot for her fifth and sixth goals of the season to round out the final score 6-2 in favor of the Tigers.
