Northwestern Battles Strong Field at Griak Invitational

ST. PAUL, Minn. – In one of the largest meets in the Midwest, spanning nearly all divisions, Northwestern finished 18^th of 24 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational. Northwestern was the lone NAIA team to run at the event.

Emma Haley paced the team, finishing 79^th with a time of 24:59.4, her best time at the Griak in her second appearance. Newcomer Brooklyn Fryar was next in line for the Raiders in her first collegiate 6K, hitting a mark of 26:11.8.

Northwestern averaged a time of 26:25.4 with a spread of 2:25.5. Ten Red Raider athletes competed in the race.

Augustana won the team event, while U-Mary's Alyssa Becker was the top finisher with a time of 21:54.5.
