Swallow Garners CSC Academic All-District Accolade

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Northwestern baseball student-athlete Jakeb Swallow has been named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team, the CSC office announced last week.

An ag business major from Macon, Missouri, Swallow was a key reliever for the Raiders in 2024, earning Second Team All-GPAC honors. He was used primarily as a late-innings arm, picking up five saves and three wins. In 26.1 innings pitched, Swallow collected 38 strikeouts, a 3.76 ERA, and an opponent batting average of .233.

To be eligible for nomination, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA at his or her current institution. Nominees must have participated in at least 90 percent of their team's regular season contests or start in 66 percent of contests. Nominees must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.

Swallow will now be placed into a voting pool among NAIA CSC Academic All-District members to be selected for the CSC Academic All-American teams.
