Northwestern Receives First Round Bye; Will Host Bellevue, Grand View, Madonna, and Saint Xavier

Raiders to play Opening Round tournament in Sioux Center

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The No. 9-ranked Red Raider softball team will receive a first-round bye in the Opening Round of the NAIA Softball National Championship, held in Sioux Center, Iowa at Open Space Park. Northwestern will welcome Bellevue (Neb.), Saint Xavier (Ill.), Grand View (Iowa), and Madonna (Mich.) as the top seed in their respective bracket.

The Raiders will take on the winner of No. 4-seeded Saint Xavier and No. 5-seeded Bellevue on Tuesday, May 14 at 1:00 p.m. The winner of that contest will face the winner of No. 3-seed Grand View and No. 2-seed Madonna.

Northwestern earned a host bid as the winner of the GPAC regular season and tournament title. The winner of the Northwestern bracket will advance to the NAIA Softball World Series on May 23-29 in Columbus, Georgia.

FAN INFORMATION
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for K-College students and will be sold at the gate. Season passes and institutional IDs will not be accepted for free admission. Fans with NAIA passes will receive one free entry per passholder.

A livestream will be available for all games, with a pay-per-view rate of $10 per game or $25 for the entire week. Live stats will also be provided at no cost for all three games, linked at the top of the story.
