Northwestern’s Season Ends in GPAC Tournament

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. – After a close conference race to end the season, Northwestern was matched up with Concordia (Neb.) in the opening round of the GPAC women's tennis tournament, falling 4-1 to the Bulldogs.

Moving indoors to the First Serve Tennis Center, it was setting up to be an exciting rematch. The Raiders dropped the first two doubles matches as Concordia earned the best-of-three point, but Northwestern grabbed a win at No. 3 by Ainslie Robinson and Emily Westenberg.

Only four singles matches were officially scored before Concordia was declared the winner, but Northwestern picked up a win at the No. 6 spot as Westenberg defeated Concordia's Gabrielle Heiser 6-1, 6-0.
