Winning Streak Ends in Home Match

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – After winning back-to-back matches earlier this week, Northwestern's women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 match to Doane on Saturday.

Opening with doubles, Northwestern took two of three bouts to earn the first point of the day. Olya Furmanova and Emily Westenberg took a 6-1 win, while Hannah Beckloff and Ainslie Robinson won 6-3.

Doane bounced back to win four of the singles pairings, led by a come-from-behind win at No. 5 and a tiebreaking win in set three of the No. 3 match. Northwestern earned two points in singles with victories by Furmanova and Westenberg.
