Women’s Tennis Takes Down Hastings for Second-Straight Win

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern won its second consecutive match on Friday, also earning its second GPAC win with a 5-2 decision over Hastings.

The Raiders protected their home court, taking all three doubles matches to earn a point, highlighted by an exciting 7-5 win for Olya Furmanova/Emily Westenberg at No. 2.

Singles saw the Raiders take four of six, with Julia Kutz coming back from a set one loss to win the next to 6-2, 6-2 and get a team point. After Olya Furmanova won in two sets, Hastings took points at No. 3 and No. 4. The Raiders secured the team win with a Hannah Beckloff 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5, while Emily Westenberg also took home a 6-0, 6-1 win.
