Raiders Tally First GPAC Win

OMAHA, Neb. – Northwestern picked up its first win of the conference season on Wednesday, heading down I-29 to battle the College of Saint Mary Flames and grabbing a 5-2 win.

The No. 1s were a tough matchup, as the Flames took the first doubles match and won its top singles match. However, the Raiders responded with wins by the teams of Olya Furmanova/Emily Westenberg and Ainslie Robinson/Hannah Beckloff to take the doubles point. Furmanova, Beckloff, and Emily Westenberg each won their singles pairings in two sets, while Robinson erased a first-set loss to earn a point for her club.
