Women’s Tennis Takes Down Grand View

URBANDALE, Iowa – Despite being down a key rotational player, the Red Raider women's tennis squad won a 5-2 decision over Grand View on Friday afternoon.

In singles, Olya Furmanova won in the No. 1 slot in a tiebreaking pro style set, 12-10. Ainslie Robinson also played in a tight match, falling in the tiebreaker 10-8. Hannah Beckloff knocked down her opponent in two, and the Raiders received two forfeit points.

On the doubles side, Robinson and Beckloff won 6-3, while Northwestern earned a point in doubles, taking the best-of-three by a No. 3 forfeit.
