Raiders to Send Two Wrestlers to NAIA Championships

Jenness making fifth appearance, Francksen-Small qualifies for second time

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern College wrestlers Jake Francksen-Small and Luke Jenness have qualified for the 2024 NAIA Men's Wrestling National Championship, the national office announced today.

Francksen-Small (Sr., Merrill, Iowa) will make his second career appearance after placing fourth in the 184 pound bracket at the GPAC Championships last weekend in Seward, Nebraska. He enters the tournament as the No. 19-ranked wrestler in his weight class, compiling a record of 19-10.

Jenness (Sr., Primghar, Iowa) becomes Northwestern's first five-time national qualifier after a third-place finish at the GPAC Championships. This season, he has compiled a record of 20-6 with 200 match points, ranking No. 10 nationally at 184 pounds. Entering the tournament, Jenness is four wins from becoming Northwestern's all-time wins leader, currently with 118 career wins.

The 67th annual meet will take place on February 29-March 2 at the Hartman Arena in Park City, Kansas. Live coverage links are available at the top of the story.
