Cheer Posts Third-Highest Score at Concordia Day of Duals

Dance Competes in Two Meets Over Weekend

SEWARD, Neb. – The Red Raider competitive cheer team went 1-1 in duals on Saturday, finishing with the third-highest score among the 14 competing teams, while competitive dance competed at the York Crown Classic and Concordia Day of Duals over the weekend.

In round one, cheer used a score of 83.73 to defeat Grand View's 70.12. Round two saw the Raiders in a close matchup with MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.), as Northwestern's 83.43 was edged slightly by MNU's 84.35.

The top three totals for cheer belonged to Midland (185.16), Oklahoma City (181.8), and Northwestern (167.16).

On Friday, Red Raider dance finished 12th at the York Crown Classic with a score of 48.57. On Saturday, the Raiders fell in duals to Benedictine (Kan.) 74.77-52.43 and Viterbo (Wis.) 82.60-49.23.

Up Next: Northwestern will head to North Newton, Kansas next weekend for the Thresher Invitational.
