American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

Schany & van den Beld earn the weekly Raider awards for their performances.

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named women's basketball student-athlete Molly Schany and men's soccer student-athlete Stan van den Beld as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of November 12.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Stan van den Beld, Men's Soccer

van den Beld (Sr., Voorhout, Netherlands) scored three goals in conference tournament action last week.
In Tuesday's 5-1 GPAC quarterfinal win over Dordt, van den Beld scored twice, the third multi-goal game of his career.
He ends is Red Raider career tied for first in career assists (26), tied for third in career goals (30), and third in points (81).

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Molly Schany, Women's Basketball

Schany (Sr., Emmetsburg, Iowa) had two double-doubles on the weekend, scoring 28 points in each outing.
She had 28 and 13 in Friday's win over College of the Ozarks and added 28 and 11 in Saturday's close top-20 tilt.
Schany currently leads the GPAC in scoring at 25.3 points per game.
