Hot Shooting Sparks Raiders in Season Debut

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern scored its most points since 2019, shooting near 65% from the field as they took down Tabor (Kan.) in tonight's home opener.

After the Raiders scored the game's first nine points, Jalen Langsy made his mark with eight points in a row to balloon the lead to 15-1. They continued to pour it on, with Jesse Van Kalsbeek and Conner Geddes hitting from beyond the arc on consecutive possessions to make it 31-10 under the 10-minute mark. Northwestern took its first 30-point lead at 4:25 when Marcus Kelderman drove to the bucket for two of his 15 points. Their largest advantage of the half came right before the buzzer when Jesse scored to give his team a 65-22 lead.

The second half saw Northwestern use plenty of lineup combinations to close it out. Northwestern's largest lead of the night was a convincing 71 points at 7:21, as Kelderman hit the trey to move ahead 107-36. Twelve players scored in the win in a promising season debut.
