NWC 3, MMU 0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-14)
How It Happened
Northwestern made quick work of the first set, starting out with a 7-3 lead on a kill from Alysen Dexter to get the night started. The Raiders created separation with an 8-1 run on the serves of Jori Hajek and Liv Reitsma. After the Lancers responded with three straight, Jazlin Douma and Zavyr Metzger took over to combine for six points over a 7-0 run, setting up the Raiders for a 25-11 win.

The home Lancers stayed close in the second, opening with a 3-0 lead and flipping points until a 7-7 score. Northwestern built its largest lead of the set to 18-13 later, with Savonne Sterk putting down the kill. Mount Marty tied things up at 21-21, but Northwestern closed the set on a 4-1 rally to go ahead by two sets.

Emma Westphal and Zavyr Metzger helped the Raiders out to a 3-1 start in the third frame, but the Raiders found themselves behind 11-8 near the midway point of the set. Northwestern responded with a 7-1 run to move ahead 17-13 before the Lancers cut back into play with a kill. As they have done all season, the Raiders closed strong, scoring the final eight points to secure the sweep and their 20th win of the year.
