KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The top 10 of the seventh NAIA football rating, presented by GoRout, remained nearly the same as last week, with Northwestern coming in at No. 9 for the second consecutive week.
Northwestern continues their new winning streak with another big win 34-7 over Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday. Much of the action came in the first quarter with a 21-7 score including Austyn Gerard with 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the first 15 minutes of game time. Konner McQuillan was effective on the ground as he churned out 126 rushing yards, becoming the fifth Raider to eclipse 4,000 career rushing yards. Hayden Groos led the passing game going 18-for-27 with 267 yards, three touchdown passes, and an interception. Jacob Dragstra had a standout performance on defense totaling three sacks, four tackles for loss, six solo tackles, and a forced fumble.
Keiser (Fla.) remains in the top spot, receiving 16 of 17 first-place votes. Grand View (Iowa) stayed at No. 2, receiving the final first-place vote. Indiana Wesleyan, Montana Western, and St. Thomas (Fla.) rounded out the top five.
Northwestern has been in the top 25 in 95 consecutive ratings dating back to August 7, 2017, which ranks fourth in the NAIA. Three GPAC teams rank in the top 10 in Northwestern, Dordt, and Morningside.
