Women’s Soccer Falls in Sioux City

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Grace Timm put a goal on the board, but the Morningside Mustangs proved to be a tough opponent, handing Northwestern the road loss.

Morningside took a 2-0 lead into the break, scoring in the first five minutes and then adding a goal before halftime. The Mustangs added to the lead nearly four minutes into the second to make it 3-0.

With under 20 minutes on the clock, the Raiders broke onto the scoreboard as Grace Timm found the back of the net, her third of the season, to make it a 3-1 contest. However, Morningside responded with two goals in a three-minute span to build up a 5-1 lead to the final horn.

GAME NOTES
  • Grace Timm scored her third goal of the season.
  • Peyton Anderson collected eight saves in 80 minutes of goalkeeping.
  • The Mustangs led in shot attempts 25-11.
