Cheer and Dance Host Five Schools in Season-Opening Invitational

Raiders line up against tough competition during the day

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern College cheer and dance teams opened their 2023 competition season on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at home in the Bultman Center.

Red Raider cheerleaders and dancers competed in both an invitational and a one-on-one duel throughout the day. Seeing some top competition to start the season, both cheer and dance look to improve as the season continues. The results of the event can be found below:

INVITATIONAL (Cheer):

Dickinson State – 86.63
Mid America Nazarene – 84.85
Dordt – 78.43
Northwestern – 73.98
Hastings – 72.87

Doane – 64.1

INVITATIONAL (Dance):

Doane – 82.23
Hastings – 78.33

Dordt – 71.77
Northwestern – 64.4

DUAL (Cheer):

Dickinson State – 90.65

Northwestern – 77.95
