American State Bank Raider Athletes of the Week

ORANGE CITY, Iowa - Northwestern College athletics has named football student-athlete Jalyn Gramstad (Lester, Iowa) and women's cross country student-athlete Katlyn Wiese (Holstein, Iowa) as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances the Week of September 26.

MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jalyn Gramstad, Football

Gramstad helped spark a second-half comeback for Northwestern on Saturday, scoring five total touchdowns in a 34-10 victory.
His four rushing touchdowns were the most for a Raider since 2013.
In addition to four scores on the ground, Gramstad threw his first career touchdown pass, a 35-yard strike to Michael Storey.
His totals from Saturday - 177 rush yards, 4 TDs; 179 passing yards, 1 TD

FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK Wiese, Katlyn

Katlyn Wiese, Cross Country

Wiese was the top Northwestern finisher and the second-best NAIA runner at the Roy Griak Invitational.
In her first ever 6K race, she placed 23rd overall among 382 runners from the NAIA, NCAA DII, and NCAA DIII.
Her 5K split was faster than her previous 5K race on a less challenging Herb Blakely course two weeks ago.
The Raiders finished 13th overall among 30 teams at the meet.
