Raider Track & Field Teams Earn USTFCCCA Academic Distinction

15 Raider student-athletes named USTFCCCA All-Academic

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released their academic honors for the 2021-22 seasons Wednesday afternoon. Fifteen Red Raider student-athletes earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, as both the men's and women's teams were honored as All-Academic teams.

More than 50+ men's teams were honored by the coaches' association, followed by 50+ women's teams. To earn All-Academic Team honors, the cumulative GPA for all student-athletes on the team's Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor must be 3.0 or higher, and certified by the institution's registrar.

Additionally, the 15 Red Raider athletes honored as All-Academic Athletes break down with nine on the women's squad and six on the men's squad. Over 300 athletes on both the men's and women's sides were honored with the distinction. To be named an NAIA All-Academic Athlete, a student-athlete must carry a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher (on a 4.0 scale), including the most recent grading period, and certified by the institution's Faculty Athletic Representative (FAR) or registrar. Furthermore, certain athletic criteria must be met to be named to the team, including an 'A' or 'B' standard in a Championship event.
