SILVIS, Ill. – The Northwestern Men's Golf team finished up play with the Lawrence Tech University Invite at the TPC Deere Run golf course in Silvis, Illinois on Saturday.
The Raiders posted a final team score of 608 (307, 301) after battling snow on day one of the tournament. The Raider men were led by the rounds of
Brock Murphy (Jr, Tea, S.D./Tea) who signed the score of 149 (74/75) and
Trenton De Haan (Sr, Orange City, Iowa/MOC-Floyd Valley) who returned to the clubhouse with the score of 150 (76/74).
Kolby Newborg (Jr, Tea, S.D./Tea), after a troublesome first round, bounced back with a team-low round of 73 on the final day of the tournament.
The Raiders return to Orange City with an 8th place finish amongst a handful of Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) teams, as well as three teams sitting within the top 25.
Southeastern University (Fla.) returned home with the team title after posting a team score of 589 (297-292). Doane University's Micah Ramirez posted the score of 141 (72-69), which provided him with the individual title.
