FREMONT, Neb. – The Northwestern College men's JV golf team finished play in the Midland Invitational at the Fremont Golf Club in Fremont, Nebraska.
Northwestern posted a team score of 324 on Wednesday, leading them to a top-half finish in the one-round event amongst a field full of Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) teams. The Raiders were led by the round of
Kyle Christy (So., Orange City, Iowa/MOC-Floyd Valley), who finished with the score of 75 (+4), which landed him a T6 place finish. The Raiders were also assisted by the round of
JT Klinghagen (Fr., Worland, Wyo./Worland) who returned to the clubhouse with the score of 81 (+10), providing him spot in the top half of the entire playing field. The Raiders rounds on Wednesday led them to a fifth-place finish at the Midland Invitational.
Midland University celebrated with the team title in the one-round event with a team score of 290 (+6). Midland's Preston Carbaugh took home the team title with an outstanding round of 69 (-2).
