SIOUX CITY, Iowa – The Northwestern College men's tennis team (9-7, 1-4 GPAC) swept the match points leading to a 7-0 victory over the Mount Marty University Lancers (0-8, 0-5 GPAC).

Monte Tilgner stated, "I was very proud of how the guys stayed focused today against a team that we beat easily earlier this spring. We were pretty sharp up and down the lineup. We made some improvements today in some of the individual situations in matches that we have been talking about.
The Raiders swept the doubles matches, only dropping six total games across the three matchups.
Brian VandenBerg and
David Bomgaars (Fr., Aurora, Colo.) pulled out a 6-3 win in the No. 1 spot.
Collin Harmelink (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D.) and
Juan Mackrey (Sr., Balcare, Argentina) dominated in the No. 2 spot and won 6-1. In the No. 3 spot
Jack Roisum (So., Rapid City, S.D.) and
Noah Roisum (So., Rapid City, S.D.) completed the sweep 6-2.
Northwestern continued their winning ways on the singles side. VandenBerg took the No. 1 position by way of a 6-3, 6-0 win. Bomgaars completed a 2-0 day with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 2 spot. Mackrey only dropped one game, winning 6-0, 6-1 in the No. 3 position. J. Roisum swept his matchup 6-0, 6-0. N. Roisum finished off the sweep for the Raiders in the No. 6 spot with a 6-1, 6-2 win.
Tilgner concluded with, "I have a great group of guys that continue to improve as we get into the last few weeks of our season."
