ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Both the Northwestern College cheer and dance teams ended their dual seasons with victories over Mount Marty University in one of the final tune-ups for the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Championships next weekend.
The Cheer team picked up their second-best score of the season with 72.4 points tonight, with the best score being two weeks ago against Dickinson State (78.0). The Lancers recorded a score of 41.45 points, making it a 30+ point margin of victory for the Raiders.
The Dance team picked up their season-high score of the season with 64.5 points, making it three-straight performances that saw improvements in total score. Northwestern defeated the Lancers 64.5-46.3 inside the Bultman Center.
Up Next: The Raiders will compete at the Dordt Invite tomorrow in the last tune-up before GPAC Championships the following weekend. The invite is set to begin at noon in Sioux Center on the campus of Dordt University.
