Yankton, S.D. – The Northwestern College men's tennis team (6-1, 0-0 GPAC) took on the Mount Marty Lancers (0-2, 0-0 GPAC) and came away with the victory, 7-0, improving the team's record to 6-1 on the season.

Monte Tilgner had this to say about the Raider's win, "It was a steady and solid performance by all the guys. The 1 and 2 doubles teams started us off well and we just kept things rolling from there. It was good to get a match in after a couple weeks off. Looking forward to a triangular with a couple good teams next weekend."
The Raiders took the doubles point with dominant performances from
Brian VandenBerg (Jr., Mason City, Iowa/North Iowa Christian)
and
David Bomgaars (Fr., Aurora, Colo./Valor Christian),
in the one spot, winning their match 6-2.
Collin Harmelink (Fr., Sioux Falls, S.D./Sioux Falls Christian) and
Juan Mackrey (Sr., Balcare, Argentina/Colegio Santa Rosa De Lima) also put up a strong performance in the two spot, winning their match 6-0. The Raiders won the third spot doubles match by way of forfeit.
Northwestern won all six singles matches. In the number one spot, VandenBerg defeated Wagner 6-1, and 6-2. Bomgaars defeated Gonsor 6-2, 6-1. Mackrey defeated Nguyen 6-0, 6-1. Harmelink defeated Sam 6-1, 6-1.
Jack Roisum (So., Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) defeated Eager in straight sets 6-0.
Noah Roisum (So., Rapid City, S.D./Rapid City Christian) won the final singles match by way of Lancer forfeit.
