SIOUX CENTER, Iowa  – (RV) Northwestern (5-2, 1-1 GPAC) notched their fifth win of the season on Friday, winning a non-conference matchup with Governors State (Ill.) The Red Raiders were in control early on, getting out to a double-digit lead through the nine-minute mark. Northwestern increased their lead through the remainder of the first half, pushing their advantage to as much as 19 points at halftime.

The largest lead of the game for Northwestern came at the 8:17 mark of the second half when Cael Lundin (Fr., Tea, S.D.) dropped in a three-pointer to put the Raiders ahead 77-44. The differential remained at the 30-point mark through the closing minutes of the game as Northwestern picked up their largest win of the season and their fourth non-conference win of the year.

"It was a good win coming back from Thanksgiving," commented head coach Kris Korver. "We had 19 assists and shared the ball. The guys played unselfishly."
