Men's Basketball Takes Third Win of Week, Defeating Oak Hills Christian

Five players score in double-figures

SIOUX CENTER, Iowa  – (RV) Northwestern (6-2, 1-1 GPAC) finished off the week with their third-straight win, picking up a neutral-site non-conference victory over Oak Hills Christian (Minn.) (0-10, 0-0 NIAC) at the Dordt Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday.

Once again, the Red Raiders came out of the gate quickly, opening up a 21-4 lead through the opening six minutes, capped by a three from Conner Geddes (So., Sioux Falls, S.D.). Following a couple of baskets from the Wolfpack, Northwestern went on another run, outscoring Oak Hills Christian 20-7 through the six-minute mark. The Raiders hit nine three-pointers through the first 20 minutes of play.

The second half wrote a similar story, with Northwestern expanding their lead in the first ten minutes, holding a lead as high as 33 points when Dillon Carlson (Sr., Ankeny, Iowa) hit a three to make the score 68-35 with 14:34 remaining.

The largest lead of the game was credited to Northwestern at 44 points, taking a 101-57 lead with just under four minutes to play. Saturday's game marked the third time this season that the Red Raiders surpassed 100 points.

"It was a good week," said head coach Kris Korver. "It was great to see us play unselfishly all week. We have a competitive five-game GPAC stretch in front of us now before Christmas break."
