Esports Signs Ingallinera to Overwatch Team

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Xander Ingallinera (Cary, Ill.) has announced his intention to attend Northwestern and join the Red Raider Esports program, competing in Overwatch.

Ingallinera attended Cary Grove High School where he was an Overwatch National Champion and excelled in the classroom as a straight-A student. He was also a team captain during his three years of competition.

"Xander is a player that I've been excited about for a long time now," said Director of Esports Cole Prescott. "Not only is he an extremely talented and hard-working player, but he also embodies the values of Raider Esports: selfless positivity, excellence, ownership, and empathy. I have no doubts that he will have an immense impact on our program over the next four years."

When asked why he chose Northwestern, Ingallinera credited being treated like family as a top factor.

Ingallinera is the son of Paul and Jen and brother to Drew. He plans to study Computer Science at Northwestern.
