FREMONT, Neb. – The Northwestern College Cheer and Dance teams opened up their competition season this evening at the Midland University Invite, where Cheer took home a third-place finish and Dance took seventh-place.
Cheer had a performance score of 64.40 which earned them third-place in a field of six teams, behind host Midland and Concordia (Neb.). The Raiders were joined by four other Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) teams (Concordia (Neb.), Dordt, Midland, and Morningside), while also welcoming Baker University (Kan.) to the invite.
The Dance team opened the year with a seventh-place finish with a score of 57.97 in a field of seven teams. The same four GPAC teams competed in the dance competition, while also welcoming Baker and Hope International University (Calif.).
Up Next: The Raiders will host the Northwestern College Invite tomorrow morning beginning at 9:00 a.m. inside the Bultman Center. Dance is slated to take the floor at 9:50 a.m. and Cheer is set to take the floor at 10:30 a.m.
