What is Esports?
Esports (electronic sports) is a form of competition using video games. The esports industry is a swiftly expanding phenomenon that spans K-12, amateur, collegiate, and professional levels of competition, entertainment, and spectatorship. Esports competitions occur online & in-person between individuals or teams competing in the same title.

Esports at Northwestern College:
Esports at Northwestern is a varsity sport. Northwestern College combines a dedicated esports facility, top-ranked academics, and a tradition of excellence to create an experience that enables our esports athletes to thrive competitively and academically. Our teams compete in online collegiate seasons as well as travel to live events. Just like traditional athletes, our players practice, compete, and develop crucial teamwork skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
