Kutz To Play Tennis at Northwestern

| By:
Julia Kutz (Sheridan, Wyo.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her tennis career at Northwestern College this fall.

Kutz recently completed an outstanding four-year career playing for the Sheridan High School tennis team. Kutz earned all-state honors three years and was a two-time conference champion in singles play. She posted a 15-1 record and won the singles title at the No.2 spot as a senior and finished her career with a 36-8 singles record.

"Julia brings many years of tennis experience to our program," commented Northwestern Head Coach Jamie De Jong. "Julia has been trained by some of the best coaches and we are thrilled that she chose Northwestern.  It was most important to Julia and her parents that she keep her faith first and will be encouraged to do so in our program."

Kutz received an academic letter four years and plans to study Biology / Genetics at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Daryl and Lisa.

"The main reason I chose Northwestern was that it seemed like God was leading me there by opening all the doors to make my attendance possible," stated Kutz. "Being able to pursue a major I am passionate about with a faith-based education is an opportunity I don't think I can get anywhere else. My meeting with Coach De Jong and the current players totally sealed it for me."
