Erik Rodriguez (Weston, Fla.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his wrestling career at Northwestern College.

Rodriguez enjoyed a standout, four-year career competing for the Cypress Bay High School wrestling team. A two-time state qualifier, Rodriguez finished the 2020-21 season with a 48-4 overall record and won his third district title. He finished his career with a 180-40 record and was named a Super 32 Qualifier and first team all-Broward County. Rodriguez plans to major in Physical Education / Exercise Science at Northwestern and is the son of Eric and Lourdes.

"We are excited to get Erik on board," said Northwestern Head Coach Rik Dahl. "He has a bright future in our program and we look for him to make an immediate impact on the mat. We trust that his style of wrestling will transition well to the NAIA and with 180 career wins and a pair of trips to the Florida state tournament, we like that he knows how to win."
