"We are really fired up to add Colton to the team," said Northwestern Head Coach Brian Wede. "He is a very athletic, left-handed pitcher who has dominated at the high school level, picking up nearly 1.5 strikeouts per inning since his freshman season. Schuchart also can play a position and has hit over .300 in his high school career. He comes from a great family and will fit in well with both our Northwestern community and our team."

Also a standout in golf, football and track where he earned all-district / all-state honors, Schuchart plans to study Business at Northwestern. He is the son of Kim and Tony.

"Northwestern College made me feel like I was at home," stated Schuchart. "I feel like Northwestern is the best fit and gives me the opportunity to compete in a sport that I love at the college level."
