Naig To Play Basketball At Northwestern

| By:
Madison Naig (Pella, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue her basketball career at Northwestern College.

Naig is a 5'8" guard who completed an outstanding three-year career playing for Pella Community High School. Naig averaged 14.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game while being named a unanimous first team all-conference selection as a senior. She scored 792 career points and was a three-year starter for the Dutch. Naig claimed 4A Southeast Iowa Region all-district honors and was selected for the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association (IBCA) all-star team.

"Madison is an outstanding young lady who we are excited to have part of our basketball program and campus community," said Northwestern Head Coach Chris Yaw. "Madison has had a fantastic high school basketball career and has the ability to both play along the perimeter as well as score around the rim. She is a great student and will be an asset to our team and to our Nursing program."

A member of the honor roll and National Honor Society, Naig plans to study Nursing and Spanish at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Matt and Carrie.

"When I walked on the Northwestern campus, it felt like home," stated Naig. "Everyone was so welcoming and I felt like I could fit into the Raider family. All the professors and coaches care about their students / athletes as people and work hard to invest in their success."
